Hofstetter has earned an impressive amount of awards and impressive titles to her name. She's the CEO of 360i, which is currently one of the most successful advertising agencies. Every day, she caters to the interests of over 250 million customers for companies including Kraft Foods, Coca-Cola and OREO. Hofstetter started her career in journalism as a reported for the New York Times. She later joined the company Net2Phone doing PR before leaving to start 360i. The company has a considerably large workforce, but she makes a conscious effort to stay involved in what each person is working on as CEO. The people she works with say she's able to balance her work and get more work done than anyone while raising a family and attending to personal obligations. Because of gender inequalities in the workplace, Hofstetter has experienced surprise when clients find out she's the CEO. Despite her tremendous hard work and success, male clients assume she holds an irrelevant desk job because she's a woman. "It's definitely generational, and it's mid-change. There's not question in my mind, there are more women CMO's, there are more women in the senior ranks, at least on the marketing side, and it's definitely refreshing" (Hofstetter). Hofstetter believes that there is a change happening in the workforce of gender equality, and even bigger changes to come.
